Fire Extinguisher Engineer
South East: Oxford, Luton & Slough areas
Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled & reactive maintenance and rectify faults on fire extinguishers in accordance with British Standards & manufacturers' guidelines and BAFE standards, in a timely, efficient & cost-effective manner
* Responsible for the management of vehicle stock, tools & equipment
* Operate within the requirements of company Quality Assurance & Health & Safety policies
* Be adaptable to changing circumstances & contribute feedback & ideas to help the business grow
* Report any issues on sites and equipment that fall outside standards and recommended action
* Maintain awareness and knowledge of product enhancements, British standards and quality management systems
* Ensure activities meet and integrate with organizational requirements for ISO9001 quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care
* Willing to travel with occasional nights out as required
Summary of Capabilities
* Experience in a similar role / Fire extinguisher engineer
* Recognised qualification in Fire Extinguisher Service and Maintenance (e.g. FIA, FPA)
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Ideally, BAFE registered
Remuneration
£32.5K per annum
* Travel and overtime paid
* Personal use of works vehicle (discretionary and after probation)
* 25 days leave plus statutory bank holidays
* Additional leave purchase scheme (discretionary and after probation)
* Full uniform and toolkit supplied
