The Senior Line Chef supervises staff, ensures high standards of food preparation, and contributes to an excellent guest experience while assisting with food cost controls.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring all food preparation meets standards
* Preparing and presenting high-quality food
* Supervising staff
* Maintaining clean and tidy work areas to prevent cross-contamination
* Preparing mis-en-place for relevant menus
* Responding promptly to guest queries
* Ensuring food quality and proper storage
* Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
* Complying with security, fire, health, and food safety regulations
* Being environmentally conscious
Candidate profile:
* Experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Senior/Line Chef
* Strong coaching skills
* Motivational leadership qualities
* Excellent communication skills
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
* Supervisory experience
* Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
* Ability to work independently and in teams
Desirable skills:
* Experience in similar roles
* Knowledge of current food trends
