It will be your job to receive, pick, pack and ship parcels as well as build our flatpack cabinets before despatch.
The job is split between Inbound and Outbound responsibilities as warehouse assistant and Data Cabinet builder/ assembler.
Inbound
* Dock: offloading goods from vehicles or sorting.
* Unloading containers.
* Receive: bringing items into the building and checking what has been received from suppliers and vendors.
* Stow: placing the items in a specific place until they are ordered by a customer.
Outbound
* Picking: selecting items for a customer order.
* Packing: packing the items to be shipped to a customer.
* Shipping: preparing freight for dispatch and loading vehicles.
You may also be given additional or different tasks as part of your day to day job.
Additional Information
* The role may require some early starts, late finishes and occasionally overnight stays.
* When unloading containers heavy lifting will be required, so please ensure you are comfortable with lifting.
* A clean driving licence (or maximum of 3 points) is necessary and a forklift license an advantage however isn't 100% necessary as we can provide training if required.
* CSCS card will be a big advantage for this role.
Cabinet builder overview :
* Building our imported flatpack data cabinets ready for despatch to our customers.
* This role may include work where you will be required to assemble cabinets at customers location with the help of another colleague. These could be long days including early starts and late finishes and some overnight stays. Overtime rate will be paid where required.
