About us
The ADHD pathway of the Adult Autism and ADHD Service provides diagnostic assessments and medication management for adults with a Berkshire GP. We are a small but well-established team working across Berkshire, operating out of 25 Erleigh Road in Reading. We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals, capable of autonomously prescribing medication and providing leadership and supervision within the team.
We receive new referrals from GPs and other health professionals. Our pathways for diagnostic assessment and medication management are separate, with a focus on initiation, titration, and review of medication. Due to increased referral rates, we are looking for a candidate who can think critically and innovatively to improve our service.
Our team is part of the Children, Families and All-Age directorate. Young people transition into our team from the Children and Young People's ADHD Service. We also maintain close working relationships with colleagues in Adult Mental Health. Our ADHD clients may access other services, such as CMHT or CHRTT, while receiving treatment from us.
