Senior Business Analyst, Institutional Banking & Distribution, Business Development

With over 10 million active customers and more than 700 locations, it is the oldest African bank in the UK. We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support our business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head of Wholesale Banking & Financing Solution and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking & Distribution in driving IB business strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa.
* Manage existing African FI relationships and enhance profitability in line with the Bank’s risk appetite and strategic goals.
Key Skills/Experience:
* Support Relationship Managers in achieving departmental budgets.
* Drive new business origination, onboarding, and client retention.
* Prepare credit applications for review, with strong analytical skills and understanding of financial statement analysis.
* Ensure compliance with KYC/KYB requirements and complete related reviews.
* Monitor financial statement review deadlines and coordinate approvals.
* Prepare limit extension requests and manage system limits.
* Distribute financial limits reports weekly.
* Handle customer queries efficiently.
* Assist in prospecting, due diligence, and portfolio management.
Experience / Knowledge:
* Experience with Financial Institutions, UK regulatory knowledge, credit analysis, KYC & KYB requirements, research, and analytical skills.
* Understanding of International Trade Finance.
* Experience in the African market is advantageous.
* French language skills are desirable.
* Experience with audited financial statements and risk rating tools like Moody’s.
