Salary: £35,000 - 75,000 per year Requirements: Minimum 10 years proven work experience in a multi-vendor Data Centre environment Cisco LAN/WAN skills equivalent to CCNP level Aruba LAN skills equivalent to Aruba ACP level Experience with Checkpoint and Palo Alto Firewalls Strong technical documentation skills Experience with complex routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, and iBGP Experience in configuring and managing IPSec tunnels on firewalls and routers Experience with large scale structured cabling infrastructures in a production/manufacturing environment Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience Eligible for or currently possess SC clearance Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively Willingness to travel as requested Availability for out of hours work including weekends as needed Responsibilities: Maintain data network hardware and systems Investigate and resolve network and hardware issues Analyze, isolate, and troubleshoot network errors Assess and upgrade legacy network components as needed Provide technical support for both internal and external customers Respond to technical inquiries and recommend solutions Lead network problem escalation and resolution Mentor junior Network Engineering staff Feed into LLD/HLD creations Install and maintain network infrastructure for small to medium-sized networks Deploy network applications on servers and voice equipment Conduct network testing, maintenance, and problem resolution Perform configurations and implement changes on routers, switches, firewalls, and security appliances Prepare network diagrams and documentation to reflect current operational status Draft proposal documentation to address customer requirements Collaborate with network architects to design and implement functional company networks Conduct regular network performance tests Technologies: Aruba Cisco Hardware Support LAN Network Security Firewall More: We are a leading technology company offering a hybrid working opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer based in one of our regional delivery centers in Glasgow or Newcastle.
