Our Client Our client is a long-established and highly respected accountancy and advisory firm in the South West, supporting owner-managed and growing businesses across the region. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an Accounts Senior to join their Business Services team. The Role This is a varied, client-facing role where youll take responsibility for delivering high-quality accounts and advisory support to a portfolio of clients, while working closely with managers, partners and junior team members. Youll have the opportunity to shape your role around your experience and availability, with part-time or full-time hours available and flexibility around working patterns. Key responsibilities include: Preparing draft year-end and management accounts with clear, structured working papers Completing basic corporation and personal tax computations Analysing and reviewing client data, identifying gaps or issues and resolving these directly with clients Planning and prioritising work to meet deadlines and client expectations Maintaining strong client relationships and acting as a trusted day-to-day contact Managing job budgets, chargeable time and engagement processes (including KYC and engagement letters) Producing schedules, correspondence and reports using Excel, Word and practice software Supporting and mentoring junior team members, including delegating work and providing feedback Feeding back to managers and partners on client or operational matters Youll also be encouraged to contribute more broadly to the business by: Getting involved in business development activity, including cross-referrals and social media Building your internal and external network Developing your technical knowledge and exploring areas of specialism About You ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified, AAT Level 4, or qualified by experience Solid experience preparing statutory accounts (FRS102 / FRS105) and tax computations Confident working directly with clients and managing your own workload Strong Excel and Word skills; experience with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QBO) is beneficial Organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities A team player who enjoys supporting and developing others Interested in progressing your career, whether into management or a specialist area Whats on Offer A competitive salary negotiable depending on experience.
