Role Overview:
As a Virtual HPC Administrator (VHPCA), your primary responsibility involves delivering proactive managed services support to entitled customers, adhering to agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and following best practices and vendor requirements. Key activities include:
* Providing managed services support to both external and internal customers.
* Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, risk assessments, and method statements.
* Collaborating with various departments within the organization, including Sales, Presales, Operations, Project Management, Deployment, and Support.
* Maintaining availability via email, telephone, and instant messaging during work hours.
* Presenting a professional demeanor while executing assigned tasks.
* Keeping out-of-office alerts and work calendars up to date.
* Reporting task/project progress to Operations & Project Management as necessary.
* Adhering to ISO9001 processes.
Personal Specification:
* Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration.
* Skills in BASH/Python scripting.
* Familiarity with configuration management tools and source code management.
* Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP), monitoring tools, virtualization, and containerization.
* Basic Windows administration skills.
