We are excited to invite applications for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Class Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Berkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and committed teacher to support pupils in Key Stage 2, helping them to consolidate prior learning and develop confidence, independence, and resilience as they progress through the curriculum.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across the Year 4 curriculum. You will be expected to create engaging, well-planned lessons that inspire curiosity and encourage a love of learning, while maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and presentation. Differentiation and inclusion will be key to meeting the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL.
This post is suitable for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners. ECTs will benefit from structured mentoring, a thorough induction programme, and ongoing professional development opportunities, while experienced teachers will be encouraged to contribute their expertise to curriculum development and wider school improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
* Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
* Assess and track pupil progress and use assessment to inform teaching
* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
* Promote high standards of behaviour, learning, and personal development
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents, and external agencies
* Contribute to whole-school initiatives and extracurricular activities
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 4
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* Show a commitment to continuous professional development
* Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues
* Be passionate about making learning enjoyable, inclusive, and inspiring
