This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the progress and wellbeing of pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant: Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students stay engaged and on track with their learning. Assist subject teachers in delivering engaging lessons tailored to different learning needs. Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), behavioural challenges, or additional requirements. Encourage students to develop confidence, resilience, and independence. Help create an inclusive and positive classroom environment. Supervise pupils during non-lesson times such as breaks, lunchtimes, or school activities. Requirements for a Secondary Teaching Assistant: Experience working with secondary-aged students (in schools, tutoring, or youth support settings). A good understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behaviour management strategies is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting learning. Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team or work independently when required.
