Job Vacancy: Warranty Administrator

1. Location: Volkswagen Blackpool
2. Salary: £25,000
3. Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

About the Role

Lookers Volkswagen are recruiting for a Warranty Administrator to join our Service Team.. You will play an important role in providing our customers with a personalized, premium experience as they come back to us time and time again for servicing, MOT and repairs. It is their job to demonstrate their knowledge and expertise so that our customers have all the information they require when making decisions about the servicing of their vehicle.

This role is fundamental within our Aftersales department! Day-to-day you’ll be responsible for processing warranty claims, ensuring all customer records are accurate and liaising with customers face-to-face, over the phone and via email. We are looking for an individual with a customer service or admin background “serviced” to perfection!

Key Responsibilities

4. Advising customers about warranty cover and upselling additional parts / accessories that will benefit the customer
5. Maintaining accurate customer records, and updating the systems when any bookings have been made
6. Examine completed warranty repair orders and preparing claim forms & supporting material
7. Ensure maximum return from the manufacturer - for all warranty work including the issue of credit notes and associated paperwork
8. Review warranty reporting systems with the line manager to identify improvements where possible and administer warranty policy in the best interests of the Dealership, manufacturer, and customer
9. Keep accurate records of warranty submissions, credits, rejections, and customer contributions toward goodwill claims
10. Ad-hoc administration tasks as given from the Aftersales Manager

Skills & Competencies

11. Exceptional communication skills, with a customer-first approach
12. Strong teamworking abilities, alongside effective organisation and time management
13. Confidence working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
14. Service administrator experience gained from a leading automotive dealer is desirable. Technical knowledge would be an advantage also.
15. You’ll be energetic, have a warm personality and a real passion for delivering a first-class customer experience
16. Previous Automotive Warranty experience is essential, and experience using Kerridge / ADP would be an advantage, as well as having knowledge of other essential dealer systems.
