THE ROLE
FLY is building one of the most respected brands in combat sports - Rooted in craftsmanship, authenticity, and performance.
We are looking for a Social Media & Community Manager who can take ownership of our organic social presence and help shape how the brand shows up at all levels of the boxing community.
This role is not just "posting 3 times per week" - it’s a creative and community-driven role, where you will work closely with the Head of Marketing to ideate and elevate creative output, manage ambassadors and affiliates of the brand, and grow the FLY community.
WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Community & Brand Building
* Manage community engagement (comments, DMs, conversations)
* Build relationships with followers, athletes, and gyms, including outreach
* Support events, athlete activations and community moments (including occasional weekends and travel)
* Translate brand pillars (craftsmanship, authenticity, inspiration) into social-first content
Channel & Content Auditing
* Regularly audit existing channels, content, and athlete output
* Identify gaps and opportunities across content, storytelling and consistency
* Bring forward clear recommendations to improve
Creative & Content Direction
* Proactively develop creative ideas and content formats that push the brand forward
* Identify what we should be doing more of across social – not just executing briefs
* Stay on top of cultural and platform trends, applying them in a way that feels premium and on-brand
Channel Ownership
* Own the day-to-day management of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
* Plan, schedule and publish content with consistency and intent
* Maintain a cohesive feed and visual identity aligned with brand guidelines
* Balance brand storytelling with performance-driven content
Strategy & Collaboration
* Work with the Head of Marketing to shape and evolve the social strategy
* Contribute insights from content performance, community, and trends
* Collaborate with paid social agencies to align organic and paid campaigns
* Support campaign rollouts across product launches, athlete moments, and brand activations
Performance & Optimisation
* Monitor and report on content and channel performance
* Identify what’s working, what isn’t, and adjust quickly
* Feed insights back into creative and strategy
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
* 2–4 years experience in a social or community-focused role within sport, fashion or lifestyle brands.
* Previous community experience (athletes, ambassadors, outreach, affiliates)
* Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram and Meta ecosystems
* A creative thinker who can generate ideas, not just execute them
* Entrepreneurial mindset – proactive, accountable, and solutions-driven
* Strong understanding of what makes content perform vs what builds brand
* Confident working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Bonus skills
* Experience working with paid social campaigns and agencies
* Experience with influencer or athlete marketing
* Basic graphic design / editing skills (CapCut, Adobe, etc.)
