An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Deputy Head Teacher to join a partner SEN School in Newmarket. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to support the Head Teacher in the day:to:day management and development of the school. Youll be instrumental in leading our dedicated staff, enhancing our curriculum, and ensuring every student with a variety of needs, including autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, receives the highest standard of education and care. This is a chance to have a profound and lasting impact on the entire school community.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Teacher in the strategic development and operational management of the school.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.
* Oversee and enhance the schools curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, inclusive, and tailored to the diverse needs of our students.
* Deputise for the Head Teacher in their absence, ensuring the smooth and effective running of the school.
* Drive high standards of teaching and learning through lesson observations, performance management, and staff development.
* Build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to student well:being.
* Manage and analyse school data to inform school improvement plans and track student progress.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant leadership experience in a school setting, preferably within SEN.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, manage, and develop a team.
* A strong track record of improving outcomes for students with SEN.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the SEN code of practice and current educational policies.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* A Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one).
