Health and Safety Specialist – Health and Safety – Republic of Ireland

As a Health and Safety Specialist ideally based in the Greater Dublin area (or alternative location with good access across the Republic of Ireland), you'll be responsible for:

* Supporting Wolseley Group operations throughout the Republic of Ireland.

* Developing and embedding effective health & safety systems, tailoring solutions to local risks and operational needs.

* Partnering with Branch and Area Managers to champion a strong safety culture, ensuring H&S is consistently prioritised in routines, meetings and decision‑making.

* Leading and supporting incident investigations, producing clear reports, and driving corrective actions and lessons learned across the region.

* Delivering H&S training, coaching and audit activity, identifying trends and supporting colleagues to address common themes and areas for improvement.

* Analysing and reporting on H&S performance, challenging appropriately, escalating concerns where needed, and acting as a trusted advisor to the business.

And here's what we'd like you to have:

* NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational health & Safety training (or equivalent QQI Level 5 H&S qualification).

* TechIOSH membership demonstrating ongoing professional development, with the desire to continual your development in the future.

* Proven experience working within a health & safety function, supporting cultural change and continuous improvement.

* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to apply a pragmatic, risk‑based approach to safety.

* Background in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment, ideally with varied operational stakeholders.
