The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical contracts manager to join our team.
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Manage electrical installation contracts from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
· Plan, coordinate, and oversee labour, resources, and scheduling to meet project specification.
· Lead on contract administration, including variations, valuations, and NEC/JCT compliance
· Work with design teams to review drawings, resolve technical queries, and ensure compliance with BS7671 and client specifications
· Manage and monitor subcontractors, ensuring performance, safety, and quality standards are maintained
· Control project budgets, track costs, and provide regular progress and financial reports
· Oversee all testing, commissioning, and handover documentation, ensuring accurate certification
· Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure H&S compliance, including RAMS preparation and implementation
· Build and maintain strong client, consultant, supplier, and stakeholder relationships
· Identify and implement process improvements, value engineering, and cost-saving initiatives
Must Haves:
· 3–5 years' experience in managing electrical contracts within the construction, MEP, or renewable energy sectors
· Strong knowledge of BS7671 and relevant industry regulations
· Experience working with NEC and/or JCT contract forms
· Excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills
· Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously
· Strong commercial and negotiation skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office or relevant project management software
· Clean UK driving licence
Desirable:
· Electrical engineering qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent)
· SMSTS/SSSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH certification
· NICEIC Qualified Supervisor experience
Other
· Must be legally entitled to work in the UK and/or EU and be fluent in English.
· Flexibility to travel to project sites for onsite inspections when required.
