POSITION SUMMARY: Aircraft Cabinet Finishers transform raw wood into stunning, ready-to-impress pieces. They sand, paint, stain, clearcoat and polish each component to achieve a flawless finish. It is a craft where attention to detail and creativity are essential, and where you get to work with your hands and see the tangible results of your work. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform all stages of the finishing process, including preparation, staining, masking, detailing, coating, sanding, and final inspection. Apply clear coats, primer, paint and other finishes by hand or spray equipment with consistent quality. Complete high-quality repairs to finished surfaces in shop and on-board aircraft Work well with others from all departments Be clean and organized, often working on different aircraft parts at same time Have a keen eye for colour matching Complete required paperwork accurately and use basic computer skills to support daily tasks. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum), preference given to applicants with aerospace / aviation experience. Basic math functions with measuring of whole numbers, decimals and fractions and the ability to know how and when to use them. Demonstrate willingness to learn and develop new skills. Maintain positive working relationships and contribute to collaborative team environment. Communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership. Willing to work overtime, shifts, and travel as needed. WORKING CONDITIONS: Regular periods during which physical effort is required (walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward). Exposure to factors such as temperature variations/extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, and materials which can cause periods of discomfort. Work involves repetitive, hands-on tasks requiring sustained physical effort and manual dexterity. Able to lift and transport up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation Able to wear protective equipment for extended periods of time including particle masks, goggles, assorted gloves, head bonnets, and disposable protective suits. Occasional direct and indirect pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands. Comfortable with working in confined spaces if required Flexibility with tasks (often stopping and restarting on projects) WORKING HOURS: This is a full-time position, and hours of work or shift patterns may change due to business operational needs. Flexibility is required and at present, the standard hours of work are 6am-3pm, Monday to Friday.
