Director of Finance - Restaurant Business
Location: Caterham
Office hours: full-time (with some work from home in the future)
Salary: up to £110,000 + great package
The Business
We are working with a lovely small to mid-size business who are ready for a new period of growth and development. The business is turning over circa £30 million a year and has strong opportunities to substantially grow this figure.
The business is truly centred around great products, great service and most importantly creating an impact on customers and the people who work for them.
This position is very much seen as a key hire in the senior leadership team and the SLT feel the addition of a Director of Finance will help support people leadership, process and systems, long-term strategy and financial growth.
The position
1. Report directly to the CEO and work alongside the other members of the SLT
2. Support scale and growth through the development of business and finance info structure, development and growth of finance team, data lead insights, financial strategy, controls, accurate and effective reporting and commercial analysis.
3. Take business critical projects to support the board's decision-making process.
4. Operational and strategic leadership
5. Managing and motivating the Finance team to ensure a focus and delivery of correct and accurate tasks and add value to the business
6. Oversee the monitoring of business performance, assessments of trends and interpretation of data through effective analysis; utilising these to drive improvements.
7. Ensure the monthly management pack is prepared in a timely manner with and easy to understand variance analysis covering margin / channel/ carriage & cashflow.
8. Deliver the annual cashflow plan and deal with cash related matters (bank, invoice financing, audit).
9. Drive process improvement within the department with increased automation and a far more paperless function.
