Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join our friendly team providing accountancy to a number of clients across various business sectors.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of statutory year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
* Extensive tax knowledge of all areas of personal and corporate taxation.
* Liaising with clients regarding accounts, tax returns and other issues.
* Review of less senior staff work and completion for client.
* Management accounts.
* Having a portfolio of self-assessment & partnership tax returns to complete each year.
* Supporting and guiding less experienced staff.
* Answer ad hoc client queries via telephone/email.
* Experience of Xero, Quick Books, Sage.
* Able to work on own initiative to meet deadlines.
* Friendly, confident manner and be happy to work as part of a team as well as alone.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.
* Extensive knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
* Proficiency in various accounting software packages including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant systems.
* Strong understanding of financial accounting standards and regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to mentor team members effectively.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
The role is office based.
The successful candidate will require more than ten years relevant working experience.
Salary to be advised, depending on experience.
