Design Manager Refurb & New Build | Brentford | Permanent | Immediate\n\nThe Role:\nThis is a hands-on Design Manager role where you'll be trusted to lead from the front. You'll play a key role in de-risking projects early, spotting clashes, and keeping both pre-con and site teams aligned.\n\nPerfect for someone who enjoys responsibility, knows how to manage design across multiple work stages, and wants to be involved in meaningful, technically detailed projects not just ticking boxes.\n\nThe Projects:\n•Design & build and traditional contracts across the public and private sectors\n•Education schemes (live schools and nursery extensions)\n•Healthcare and community refurbishments\n•New build residential and mixed-use schemes up to £8m\n•Refurbishments in occupied buildings with tight access/logistics\n•Mixture of local authority, housing association, and private clients\n\nWhat they're looking for:\n•Solid experience as a Design Manager (or a Project Architect / Coordinator ready to step up)\n•Strong technical knowledge able to interrogate drawings and push coordination\n•Comfortable running design from Stage 2 to handover\n•Experienced with both D&B and traditional forms of contract\n\nThe Company:\nThey're a long-established, family-run main contractor who've quietly delivered high-quality refurbishments and small-scale new builds in London for 40+ years.
