I’m working exclusively with a growing main contractor with a turnover of around £10m, who are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager as part of their next phase of growth, offices are based in Cambridge.
The business delivers a mix of refurbishment and new build projects, with a strong pipeline of repeat work and long-standing client relationships.
This is a key hire for the company and would suit either an established Commercial Manager or a Senior QS ready to step up into a more senior, influential role.
The Role
* Take ownership of the commercial function across multiple projects
* Manage costs from pre-construction through to final account
* Oversee subcontract procurement and package management
* Lead on valuations, variations and cost reporting
* Work closely with Directors and operational teams
* Support the continued growth and structure of the commercial team

* Strong experience across refurbishment and or new build projects
* Commercially astute and confident managing projects independently
* Comfortable working in a growing business environment
* Open to Senior QS stepping up or experienced Commercial Managers
