As Shift Manager you will support the management team to deliver consistent results and be the best place to shop and work. You will be recruited as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store.

Key Responsibilities

* Maximise profit by delivering great availability for customers and actively supporting store performance.
* Play an active role in your store to “sell a £1 & save a £1” to help drive sales.
* Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.


Engage, Develop & Retain Great People

* Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
* Support team engagement in your store.
* Contribute to an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
* Take a proactive approach to personal development and share knowledge to support up-skilling the team.


Doing The Right Processes And Doing Them Right

* Complete actions set by your line manager focusing on what the customer sees.
* Provide a positive service in store and at the doorstep, aiming to be the best place to shop.
* Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes.
* Support digital service through implementing all “One Best Way” processes.


Leadership

* Lead with approachability and customer focus.
* Respect colleagues and foster teamwork.
* Actively work to reduce waste and support business goals.
* Care about the business and our people by being considerate.


Required Skills & Experience

* Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
* Effective communication with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
* Plan and organise the shift, using every member of the team.
* Provide balanced feedback to improve performance of colleagues.
* Set the pace of the team on shift by being hands-on to deliver a great store.
