(Lead) Civil Barristers’ Clerk, Liverpool
Salary range: depending on skills and experience either Level 2 (Skilled) - £27,000 - £32,000 or Level 3 (Expert) £32,000 - £45,000.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (1-hour lunch)
Holidays: 25 per year plus Bank Holidays (rising with length of service)

Our client is looking for a confident and competent barristers’ clerk, ideally experienced in clerking Civil Law practices, to join their Liverpool-based clerking team in this role. Working with colleagues in their wider Civil clerking team, you will be a go-to clerk for their Civil practice barristers in Liverpool, servicing a wide range of work and clients in the City and the surrounding area. You will work with the wider clerking teams across our five sites, to ensure the delivery of a smooth and comprehensive clerking service to all practitioners in the team and their clients.
At this level they are looking for clerks with sound knowledge and competence in all aspects of diary management and fee negotiation, ideally but not essentially in this area of law. They operate a 5-step job family for clerks, guiding your development with them up to Senior Clerk. For this role they would like to employ a skilled or expert level clerk, with the ability and ambition to deliver excellent diary clerking services and to become involved in practice and business development in Liverpool and the surrounding area.
