Job Description:
Reporting to the Lead Consultant, this Technician role is in the Policy and Resource Management team, within Roads and Transportation Services.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical support and assist in the management of Fife’s roads assets, ensuring they are fit for purpose, safe for road users, and that their condition is managed, maintained, and improved in line with the Roads Asset Management Plan.
The role aims to ensure the delivery of safe, sustainable, and customer-focused solutions, contributing to continuous improvement and effective service delivery.

The Person
You should be educated to SCQF level 7, which includes HNC in Civil Engineering or a relevant subject, or Advanced Highers or equivalent.
In addition, you must demonstrate:
* Good communication skills and experience dealing with members of the public and internal/external bodies.
* Experience in preparing information for dissemination.
* Time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
* GIS skills relevant to the role.
* An understanding of road asset management and finance practices.
