Our experts advise on the full range of employment services:

* High Court litigation – restrictive covenant litigation, team moves, obtaining/ resisting/ enforcing injunctions, claims relating to misuse of confidential information
* Trade Unions/Collective – advising employers on all aspects of industrial action, collective consultation, union recognition and works councils.
* Transactional support – supporting on the employment aspects (including due diligence and TUPE) of M&A, divestments and outsourcings.
* Atypical working – advising on areas such as agency workers, zero hours contracts, employment status, apprenticeships, the gig economy.
* Global mobility – supporting employers with the relocation of employees for long term periods (covering employment, immigration and tax issues).
* Reward - covering employment tax, cash plan and incentives, shares and options and other aspects of employee reward.
* Health & Safety - implementing policies, conducting risk assessments and advising employers on their legal obligations.
* Senior Executives - high value litigation, bonus/ breach of contract claims and advice relating to entering and exiting businesses.
* Irish employment law - all aspects of Irish employment law.
* Northern Irish employment law – all aspects of Northern Irish employment law.
* Hong Kong employment law - all aspects of Hong Kong employment law and local coordination of matters across Asia Pacific.
* International employment support – coordinating and project managing advice from single country matters to global projects. For larger international clients, we are able to provide platforms to log/track queries.
About the Role:
The jobholder will be part of the Employment, Immigration and Reward (EIR) secretarial team but will report to the Head of rockhopper and LS In-house. The role will focus on providing administrative support and assistance to the rockhopper and LS In-house management team and Co-ordinators. Support may also be required across the Legal Practice Groups by all levels of stakeholder, including secretaries, associates and partners on a day-to-day basis as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Opening new clients/matters and drafting retainer letters.
* Sending bills to clients, by email or via e-billing platforms.
* Tracking invoicing and supporting with finance reconciliation.
* Archiving files with the use of the Elite management system and FileTrack.
* Assisting with booking travel using our travel booking system.
* Arranging for disbursements, when received from third parties, to be put onto the system, ensuring they are put onto the relevant matter.
* Assisting with other financial forms and processes as and when needed (i.e. receipt forms, immediate payment forms etc).
* Processing expenses.
* Assisting with the maintenance of the firm’s CRM system.
* Assisting the rockhopper and LS In-house Co-ordinators and if necessary, providing holiday cover.
* Supporting the Secretaries by helping to pick up overflow tasks.
* Providing general assistance to the whole team as requested.
* Any other task as required in line with the level of the role.
About You:
This is a challenging role offering actual experience working in a legal environment. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels and enjoy working in a team environment. They must be highly organised; have a flexible nature and a co-operative and willing attitude.
Specialist experience:
* Previous demonstrable experience of office/administrative work.
Abilities and desired qualities:
* Good eye for detail.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively prioritise workload as needed.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
* Ability to communicate at all levels.
IT skills required:
* Experience or knowledge of Word/Excel, document management systems and Outlook would be beneficial, although not essential as full training will be provided.
Educational and professional qualifications required:
* Good grammatical English - at least to GCSE standard or equivalent.
