Teaching Personnel is currently seeking dedicated and passionate SEN and SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our network of schools in Warrington. We are working closely with a range of primary and secondary schools that cater for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working either 1:1 or in small groups to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
* Autism (ASC)
* ADHD
* Social and emotional difficulties
* Behavioural needs
* Speech and language challenges
* Moderate or complex learning difficulties
Your role will involve:
* Supporting learning inside and outside the classroom
* Helping to manage behaviour in a calm and supportive way
* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
* Contributing to pupils' emotional wellbeing and personal development
* Have experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH (school-based or other relevant settings)
* Be calm, patient, and nurturing in your approach
* Be able to build strong and respectful relationships
* Have good communication skills
* Be flexible and reliable
* Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
* A personal consultant to support you throughout your placements
