We are currently looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to work on a part time basis - 1pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. The successful Candidate will be based in a room working with children aged from 3 months - 2 years therefore experience children/babies under 2 years old is essential. You must be able to carry out appropriate observation, planning and assessment inline with the EYFS and you will be a key person for up to 5 key children. You will be allocated paperwork time to complete these and you will also receive full induction training. You will be guided every step of the way by our highly trained staff team ensuring that you flourish as a practitioner and a professional. Not only will you gain extensive first hand experience but you will also benefit from external short courses such as; Safeguarding Children, Food Safety, Prevent Duty and Paediatric First Aid. Responsibilities and Duties Supervision and interaction with children Supervision of meal times Observation, planning and assessment Partnerships with parents and carers Key person to a minimum of 5 children - this will require a good standard of written English. Nurturing and caring attitude. Be able to work in partnership with parents /carers Meet the childrens basic care needs and follow their routines. Qualifications and Skills Experience working with children Key person experience Sound Knowledge of the EYFS and able to carry out assessments inline with the curriculum Knowledge of child development Good Communication skills with both children and adults. Understanding babies care needs and how to change nappies, prepare and make up bottle feeds.
