Job Description:
The company is involved in the design, development, and manufacture of diesel, hybrid, and hydrogen-powered engines for various applications, sold worldwide.
The role involves working with trade associations and government bodies on new engine emissions legislation, supporting the company to develop and produce engines that meet regional, environmental, and legislative requirements.
This is a key role that will influence the design and development of current and future engine systems, including conventional and hydrogen engines.
* Ideally, a degree in engineering, science, environmental science, or related fields.
* Strong technical understanding of engine systems, combustion systems (ICE, Hydrogen, Hybrid), including design, testing, emissions, research, aftertreatment, quality, or compliance.
* Attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to communicate regulatory requirements and standards to engineering teams.
* Applicants from homologation, certification, and compliance backgrounds are of interest, but applications from related fields such as Safety Engineering, Type Approvals, Engine/Emissions Testing, Calibration, or Quality Assurance are also welcome.
* Experience in engine product development environments (automotive, aerospace, nuclear, marine, power generation) is advantageous.
* This position is aligned with senior engineer level, with opportunities to progress to Principal Engineer.
Location: The Project Engineer / Senior Regulatory Affairs Engineer role is based full-time in Derbyshire.
Relocation assistance is available. The role is accessible from Rocester, Stoke on Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham, Uttoxeter, Stafford, and Burton.
