This fixed-term contract offers the opportunity to lead operations for an established shopping centre that is planned to be redeveloped into residential use. You’ll play a vital role in keeping the centre running safely and efficiently during its remaining operational period. What you’ll be doing…
* Oversee daily operations to keep the centre safe, clean, and running smoothly.
* Manage contractors across hard and soft services, ensuring standards and records are maintained.
* Maintain plant, machinery, and key systems, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
* Lead on Health & Safety compliance, including fire safety, incident reporting, and insurance requirements.
* Report on ESG, waste and energy performance, and ISO 14001 activity.
* Manage purchase orders, approve invoices, and support budget control.
* Liaise with tenants to ensure compliance and provide operational support.
* Build strong relationships with local authorities and external partners.
* Work closely with the centre management team to uphold standards through the redevelopment phase.

To be successful you will need…
* Experience delivering maintenance or facilities services in a public-facing environment.
* Experience managing security, cleaning, and/or maintenance teams.
* Strong record-keeping and compliance management skills.
* An understanding of working to budgets and approving expenditures.
* A hands-on approach and the ability to work independently under tight timelines.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Flexibility to adapt to the demands of a retail environment.
* IOSH Managing Safely (or above).
Salary:
Up to £45,000 basic
