The Role
A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Document Controller to support M&E works on a major construction project in London. This is a site-based role working closely with project, design, and engineering teams to ensure efficient document control across all phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain all project documentation using platforms such as Aconex, Asite or similar
* Ensure accurate document control, including versioning, numbering, and distribution
* Upload and track drawings, RFIs, technical submissions, and reports
* Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
* Support the M&E team with O&M manuals and handover documentation
* Ensure compliance with QA procedures and audit requirements
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Document Controller within construction or M&E
* Strong knowledge of document control systems (Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint, etc.)
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work in a fast-paced site environment
Desirable
* Previoiusly worked for M&E company / Construction
* Familiarity with BIM/document workflows
* Immediate availability preferred
