Quantity Surveyor role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Commercial team. In this role, you will play a key part in the successful commercial management of projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
Quantity Surveyor responsibilities
* Cost Control: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture, analyse, and control project costs
* Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to ensure business requirements are met
* Contract Management: Manage the main contract, including issuing notices and correspondence
* Subcontract Administration: Prepare and issue subcontract documentation
* Subcontractor Management: Assist in managing and evaluating subcontractor performance
* Payment Management: Oversee the preparation and approval of applications for payment
* Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost-value reports
* Mentorship: Guide and develop junior commercial team members
* Continuous Learning: Actively seek out and engage in professional development opportunities
* Positive solutions: Approach challenges constructively
Quantity Surveyor requirements
Essential:
* Degree or equivalent
* Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution
* Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors
* NEC3/4 Experience
Desirable:
* Experience of managing and developing an individual or small team
* Knowledge of CEMAR
