JOB TITLE: Data Assistant

GRADE: Band 2

DEPARTMENT: eRostering Team

LOCATION: Comley Bank Centre, Edinburgh

CONTRACT DURATION: Fixed Term until 31/12/26

Number of Posts : 2

HOURS: 36 hours per week

SALARY SCALE: £26,696 - £28,988 pro rata per annum

The eRostering Team implements HealthRoster, an Allocate Software product. This is an electronic rostering system currently for nursing, midwifery and corporate services staff which has been and is being rolled out across NHS Lothian over the past six years. Our aim is to have the right staff with the right skills in the right place at the right time.

We require further Data Assistants to join our team, primarily based at the Comley Bank Centre, to work 36 hours a week Monday – Friday. Please note depending on COVID-19 rules then home working may be required. The post holder will transfer data from HealthRoster to SSTS (electronic time and attendance system), providing a full range of data management: inputting, reporting and analysis.


Responsibilities

* Transfer data from HealthRoster to SSTS.
* Input, report and analyse data management tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an office environment, and have good IT skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and databases with a high degree of speed and accuracy. They will have good communication skills.

To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country.

Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
