Storage Assistant Birmingham (B33) Our independent storage client is looking to appoint a Facilities Assistant/ Storage Assistant for their Birmingham ( B33 ) branch. This position offers a great opportunity to join an established business, support day-to-day site operations, and help deliver an excellent customer experience. As an Assistant, you will support sales and customer service, assist with site standards and basic upkeep, and help ensure the safe, secure running of the branch. Storage Assistant duties include: Sales support and promoting storage solutions to new and existing customers Customer service, including handling enquiries, bookings, and general front-of-house support Administration, including updating systems, completing paperwork, and processing payments (where required) General housekeeping to ensure the site is clean, tidy, and safe indoors and out Assisting with minor repair and maintenance tasks (for example, basic painting, small fixes, and reporting/arranging larger repairs) Supporting the safe running of the site, including opening up, locking up, setting alarms, and following all site procedures Complying with all Health & Safety legislation and internal policies We are keen to speak to people who: Enjoy working in a customer-facing environment and take pride in delivering a helpful, friendly service Are organised, reliable, and comfortable working independently when required Have a good eye for detail and can keep site standards consistently high Are adaptable and happy to take on a varied role that mixes customer service, sales support, admin, and practical tasks Are confident using basic IT systems (emails, booking/CRM-style systems, spreadsheets, etc.) Applicants should have a diverse range of skills as this role requires adaptability, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
