There has never been a more exciting time to join us! At Firvale, we are transforming our services and are looking to recruit a Band 5 Staff Nurse to our team.
At Firvale, we provide continuing care for children and young people with complex health needs and learning disabilities within a homely environment.
We are seeking enthusiastic, forward-thinking Paediatric or Learning Disability nurses, ideally with community experience, who are keen to develop their skills working with staff, families, children, and young people with a wide variety of complex health conditions.
Main duties of the job
A key aspect of this role is maintaining high-quality care in a positive, stimulating, and safe environment. You would be one of the staff nurses working in the four-bedded health unit, focusing on delivering high-quality clinical care for children with complex health needs within our health team.
We offer clinical supervision, regular appraisal, training, and support to help achieve your personal development plan, along with peer support from colleagues in similar roles. Child health will ensure excellent development opportunities and access to a range of expertise for advice and support in your role.
This challenging and rewarding role offers the opportunity to meet the health and social care needs of children, young people, and their families within a multidisciplinary inter-agency framework.
If you are innovative, creative, and eager to develop your knowledge and explore new ways of working, consider this opportunity.
Working for our organization
Our vision is to provide outstanding care for every patient. Patient care is at the heart of what we do at our three sites: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, and Andover War Memorial Hospital. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides medical and surgical services to a population of approximately 600,000 people across Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire.
Our cultural ambition is to foster a culture that places people at the center of all we do, where everyone belongs, and where learning, improvement, and excellence thrive.
We provide specialist services to people across the UK and internationally. We are one of only two centers in the UK treating pseudomyxoma peritonei (a rare abdominal cancer) and are leaders in tertiary liver and colorectal cancer treatments.
The trust employs over 9,000 staff and has an annual turnover exceeding £500 million. As a Foundation Trust, we are directly accountable to our members through the governors, who represent their constituencies and influence the future plans of the Trust.
