Marketing Manager (B2B Engineering & Energy Sector)
Location: Basildon, Essex (or within 1 hour commute)
Working Pattern: Hybrid working negotiable
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 basic + discretionary bonus
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays
The Role
I’m recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering business operating within the energy and process industries.
Due to continued growth, my client is looking to appoint an ambitious and energetic Marketing Manager to take full ownership of their B2B marketing function. This is a standalone role with clear scope to build and grow a team over time.
Reporting directly into the Managing Director and working closely with the senior management team, this position will play a key role in supporting revenue growth, increasing market share, and strengthening long-term brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities

Ownership of the overall marketing strategy, plan and budget

Delivery of B2B campaigns and lead generation activity
*
Management of digital marketing and content, including website, SEO, email and online campaigns
*
Creation of sales enablement materials to support commercial teams
*
Ownership of marketing data, reporting, analytics and compliance
*
Ensuring a customer-focused, digital-first approach across all marketing activity
The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in a B2B marketing role, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, energy or technical environments
*
Strong digital marketing experience with a commercial mindset
*
Comfortable operating autonomously and taking full ownership of a function
*
Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-led decisions
*
Ambitious, proactive, and motivated by the opportunity to build something from the ground up
