Duty Manager – SPAR Dyserth
Hours: 40 hours per week. Various shifts between 7am and 10pm including some weekend working.
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Duty Manager will help drive growth within the Dyserth SPAR store. As part of the leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in leading and motivating a team of colleagues to ensure excellent customer service and achieve sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Store Manager to ensure a safe, legal and high performing store during Duty Manager shifts.
* Assist in delivering all store operations, objectives and KPIs.
* Manage, coach and support colleagues to develop a motivated and empowered team through a positive, engaging management style.
* Carry out performance and absence management, cash reconciliations, voids and refunds, and other management tasks for till colleagues.
* Take overall responsibility for the entire store during shifts, including opening/closing, colleague safety and stock/cash security.
* Be a role model and lead the team to provide an exceptional customer experience, setting us apart from competitors.
* Promote the store by identifying and acting on opportunities to engage with and support the local community of Dyserth.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and processes.
Duty Manager Skills Required
* Previous management or supervisory experience within a food retail or similar fast‑paced operation.
* Commitment to achieving and sustaining exceptional customer service standards.
* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively.
* Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels.
* Decisive action taking and problem solving.
