Why Us?
You will join a compassionate and enthusiastic senior leadership team working jointly with the Head of Service, operational leads for Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy and physiotherapy pathway leads to ensure the high-quality delivery of these services.

Main duties of the job

You will be our Operational Lead for Children's Physiotherapy and will provide strategic, operational, professional and clinical leadership to our physiotherapy team. Our service is an integrated therapies model, consisting of speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy, providing therapy support for children and young people with education, health and care needs in partnership with the Local Area.

What is involved?

·Oversee the delivery of physiotherapy services for children and young people 0-19, ensuring that all children receive the support they need to succeed.

·The service collaborates within a programme of transformation in the Local Area for children with SEND, you will co-produce services with service users and key partners in health, education, social care and the voluntary sector to support a whole system response to the needs of children and young people.

·Manage resolution processes as necessary, ensuring every child’s voice is heard and their needs are met with care and respect.

Person specification

Education, qualifictaions and training

Essential criteria

10. Degree in Physiotherapy
11. Professional registration with HCPC
12. Post graduate clinical/ management qualification or equivalent level of experience and proven ability to perform at this level
13. Significant demonstrable experience of and demonstrable achievement in managing health services
14. Member of relevant professional body e.g., CPS.

Experience

15. Experience of developing and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders in the redesign of services
16. Experience of effectively leading and implementing change
17. Experience of budget management / management of resources
18. Experience of monitoring staff performance
19. Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team

20. Demonstrate an awareness of complex issues involved when working across organisations and disciplines

24. Able to travel between a range of clinical location

PPE requirements: Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust requires all colleagues to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with our infection prevention and control procedures.

COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations remain the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course our patients from the viruses when working in our healthcare settings. We encourage our staff to be vaccinated when recommended.
