Structural Artistry is at the heart of our business, allowing us to collaborate with world leading architects. All engineers at every grade contribute to the continuous learning required to deliver some of the most complex building projects. Questioning the norm is part of the Buro Happold everyday engineering process, with opinions and contributions expected from all. This is particularly acute in challenging how structural engineering impacts the environment and the contribution to embodied carbon usage.

Application Process
For the purpose of this application we ask you to fill in a form with some role‑specific questions, which means you should ignore the "CV Upload" request when you click apply. This will allow us to get to know you better and standardise the information we get from each candidate.
For the purpose of this application, we will ask you to describe any work or volunteering experience you have. Please note we are looking for any experience not necessarily industry related. We have adopted an anonymous application approach for this opportunity which means we will not see any of your personal information until you are progressed to interview stage.

This is a paid 8‑week paid summer placement aimed at current university students, ideally in their penultimate year.
The start date is flexible, but most students will start their role in June or July 2026.
