School Minibus Driver – £550/week + Holiday Pay (~£23,300/year)
Hours: Split shift – 06:15–09:30 & 14:15–17:15 (Monday to Friday, Term Time Only)
Pay: £550 per week (£17.60/hr, 31.25 hours). Equivalent to £20,790 per year, plus statutory holiday pay (~£2,510), giving a total package of ~£23,300 per year.

The Role
We are seeking a caring, reliable, and professional School Minibus Driver to operate a 12-seat Mercedes Sprinter minibus on a dedicated SEN school run. The route includes transporting students with additional needs, including wheelchair users. A Local Authority Passenger Assistant (Escort) will accompany the route, and full training will be provided in wheelchair loading and securing.

Key Responsibilities
* Safely transport SEN students to and from school on a set route.
* Provide care, patience, and respect to children and young people with additional needs.
* Load and securely fasten wheelchairs using the vehicle's rear road ramp (training provided).
* Work collaboratively with the Passenger Assistant to ensure all students are safe and supported.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
* Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and a student-centred approach at all times.
* Follow all safeguarding, child protection, and company procedures.
* Ensure the vehicle remains safe, clean, and roadworthy throughout your shift.
Requirements
* Category D or D1 Licence (maximum 6 points).
* Ability to pass and maintain a clear Enhanced DBS Check.
* Ability to provide references.
* Willingness to complete safeguarding training (provided).
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to passenger safety.
* Respectful, patient, and confident working with SEN students, including in challenging situations.
