Cleaner Grade 1 £24,796 pro rata Part Time, 12.5 hours per week, whole time Permanent Required as soon as possible The Governors of St. Stephen’s CE Primary School are looking to appoint an efficient and enthusiastic cleaner to join our team. We are looking for someone who is reliable, well-organised, has good communication skills and can work flexibly to meet the needs of the school. You will be responsible for cleaning certain parts of the school site as allocated by line manager and main duties will include: • Vacuum cleaning hard and soft floors; • Spot cleaning of spillages; • Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass; • Emptying and cleaning bins; • Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds; • Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces; • Wiping and polishing and straightening furniture; • Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets etc.; • Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work; • Completing an annual deep clean and termly upkeep cleaning of classrooms, staffrooms, dining areas and other frequently used spaces on school premises including high and low level dusting The working pattern is 3.00pm - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
