We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Floating Support Officer to join our Rough Sleeping Intervention and Prevention Team. You’ll be at the heart of helping people move away from homelessness and into stable, independent living.
What you’ll do:
* Support individuals at risk of homelessness to sustain tenancies and rebuild their lives.
* Work closely with housing providers, landlords, and partner agencies.
* Create personalised support plans and help clients access vital services.
* Champion multi-agency working and attend MDT meetings.
* Keep accurate records and contribute to service development.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in housing support or homelessness prevention.
* The role demands flexibility to ensure tenancy sustainment, prevention of eviction, and successful transition to independent living. We are looking for someone with an empathetic approach, along with a willingness to work evenings as part of the regular working pattern.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
Bonus if you have:
* Knowledge of housing law and homelessness legislation.
* Experience supporting people with complex needs or resistant to change.
The role requires daily travel across East Lindsey to meet clients in various settings including temporary accommodation, HMOs, public spaces, and community venues, so the ability to travel independently and reliably is essential.
