The services for which the post holder is responsible will be multi- disciplinary and multi agency and led by the relevant division (East, West or B&H) within SPFT, working with partner leads within organisations actively contributing to the delivery of Neighbourhood mental health teams (NMHTs)

Job responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for a defined set of services within the Division and is accountable to the Operational Director.
The safe and effective delivery of services within that area, ensuring all activity targets are met through the management and deployment of both health, social care and VCSE resources within a defined budget, working alongside partner leads
To work with other senior colleagues and partner agencies to support the development and delivery of safe and effective services including Neighbourhood mental health teams (NMHTs) providing senior leadership and support to a defined number of NMHTS
To monitor, review and improve systems and practices to deliver safe, high quality patient care and effective patient flow internally and across the whole system, working with partner leads
To promote an environment in which staff are encouraged to review and improve performance, practice and services to patients through training and development, audit, appraisal and peer review. Participate in the ongoing development of the division and work in partnership with lead clinicians/ practitioners and other key stakeholders to become involved in-service planning, decision making and delivery supporting a whole systems approach to care and treatment
Contributes and where appropriate lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of operational policies and key service and strategic developments.
To ensure recommendations from patient safety incidents (PSIIs), near misses, complaints and other incidents are implemented, and maximise trust wide and system wide learning by identifying and any trends and agreeing actions across the system where appropriate
.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to degree/ diploma level with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
* Clinical/post graduate management qualification to masters or equivalent level of experience and proven ability to perform at this level
Knowledge/Experience
* Extensive experience of and demonstrable achievement in managing health/social care services.
* Management of resources and good track record with change management, efficiency savings and financial recovery plans
* Experience of modernising services without additional resources
* Experience of developing and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders in the redesign of services
* Experience of project management and imaginative planning.
* Experience of managing a diverse practitioner team (multi site)
* Measurable track record in involving and motivating staff to improve performance
