We have a permanent position available for a Maintenance assistant to join our Wokingham Hospital team.
1. Starting salary: From £24,000 (Depending on experience) Pro rata
2. Working hours: 25 hours per week
3. Typical pattern: 10:00–15:00, Monday–Friday (flexible; can be discussed at interview)
4. Driving licence: Desirable but not essential
5. DBS: Will be completed before start date
6. Training: Provided as needed
Key Responsibilities
This role will support the delivery of fabric and maintenance tasks within NHS Property Services premises. Duties include:
7. Carrying out general maintenance and fabric tasks
8. Supporting with water hygiene tasks
9. Completing customer‑billable works, including: Basic carpentryPainting and decoratingGeneral repair work
10. Supporting specialist colleagues (electricians, plumbers, etc.) where required
11. Ensuring work is carried out safely and to a high standard
12. Primarily based at Wokingham Hospital with occasional support to nearby locations such as Bracknell
Where You’ll Be
Wokingham Hospital, with the possibility of occasional short visits to surrounding areas if needed.
