The applicant should have at least 1 year of experience working at registrar level in the UK. They should also be in possession of their MRCOG. They would be expected to be able to supervise junior registrar on labour ward out of hours.
Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to work as a team.
The successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the Department’s governance programme, including participation in department meetings, safety initiatives and morbidity and mortality meetings. The successful candidates will be expected to fully engage with Appraisal as part of GMC Revalidation.

Experience
Essential criteria
1. Clinical skills and training in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology equivalent to that of a UK trained ST6
2. At least 2 year of NHS experience 1 year of which of which have been on a registrar rota
3. Ability to offer acute Obstetric and Gynaecology care
4. Evidence of teaching of junior trainees
Desirable criteria
5. Evidence of involvement in audit and quality improvement projects
6. Evidence of involvement in risk management
7. Evidence of supervision of junior registrars
Qualifications
Essential criteria
8. Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
9. MRCOG
Desirable criteria
10. Compliant with all mandatory training
