Pupil Support Assistant – Craigmount Learning Community
Salary: £25,905 - £26,111 (pro rata for part time and sessional). Hours: 27.75 per week, 39 weeks sessional.
Locations: East Craigs Primary School – 1 x 27.5 hours; Maybury Primary School – 3 x 27.75 hours.
Responsibilities
* Provide pupil support across schools within the Craigmount Learning Community as part of a collaborative team.
* Contribute to a positive learning environment and support the welfare and progress of pupils.
* Engage with training opportunities to develop skills in supporting children and young people.
Qualifications and experience
* Conscientious and committed individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Previous experience of working in a school would be desirable.
Pre-employment checks and safeguarding
* Post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
* If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
* An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the satisfactory outcome of both pre-employment checks.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annual increases until the top of the range.
