Job Description
Within the National Buying Department sits the National Buying Administration (NBA) Team who support the smooth running of the department's supplier, systems, site, financial planning and analysis functions.
NBA are seeking a Manager to join the team to take responsibility and ownership of multiple teams within NBA, including the Training Coordination and Personnel Teams. The suitable Manager must use their knowledge and experience to drive forwards on process improvements that will benefit the running of both the National and International departments.
The role is a great opportunity to play a part in shaping the future of learning and development of our colleagues and new starters, as well as working closely with the HR Workday team to implement system improvements.
Reporting to the National Buying Administration Director, the successful candidate will manage a team of Assistants and Administrators to deliver effective communications, training, Workday assistance and support for our colleagues.
The role requires an individual with a consistently positive approach, a passion for training, excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle strictly confidential information. The manager must be confident coordinating the ongoing development of training materials across multiple platforms. The manager will have a thorough understanding of the HR Handbook and awareness of policies including Working Hours, Flexible Working and other HR administration topics.
You will need enthusiasm and drive, with experience of working independently in a fast-paced environment. You will need to think on your feet, be self-reliant, and be a confident individual.
The Manager must be confident coordinating and managing effectively, ensuring that they can recruit, retain and develop a high calibre, whilst simultaneously driving high performance.

Your New Role
* Ownership of internal training plans and content
* Governance and auditing on Workday to ensure departmental compliance
* Dealing with strictly confidential information
* Hosting the National Buying new starter induction
* Supervision of contract creation for all new hires, promotions, role changes, etc., including Director level
* Monitoring learning compliance within National Buying
* Pivotal in delivering the team strategy
* Close working relationships with international and national teams such as HR and international counterparts
* Managing a dedicated team to action all delegable Workday tasks for Personnel Leaders and to create bespoke training plans for all new starters, role changes, visitors and returners
* Enhanced knowledge of HR and office policies, including the HR Handbook

* Ability to manage and build relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels as well as third parties
* Ability to manage multiple work streams in parallel
* Proven leadership, motivation and people management skills

* Advanced PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills
* Enhanced knowledge of the HR handbook, HR policies and office policies
* Experience designing, coordinating and delivering new training material
* Excellent attention to detail and time/people management skills
* Ability to understand and anticipate needs to ensure appropriate outcomes
* Able to cope with multiple tasks across various different areas
* Capable of building trust and relationships at all levels
* A good sense of urgency and adaptability under pressure
* Strong communication skills with ability to take complex information and deliver in a simplified manner across many levels of a business
* Delivery of concise and articulate executive-level written work

* Starting salary from £61,065 rising to £94,240
* Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
