Required
* NEBOSHConstruction Certificate.
* Previous experience in a relevant field of Construction / InfrastructureHealth & Safety.
* Membership ofIOSH - Tech IOSH.
* Previous experience within a management role.
* Safety,Health and Environmental Diploma, Degree or equivalent NCRQ or NVQ.
* Membership ofIOSH - Grad IOSH, working towards Chartered status.

* Understand the HSWPolicies and Processes and the statutory requirements as they affect theoperations and ensure that the requirements are implemented.
* Provide operationaland functional management advice on the practical implementation of thecompany’s HSW policies and processes including external stakeholders suchas customers if necessary.
* Assist, with the development of Health and Safety Management plans if applicableand coordination of review.
* Provide operationaland functional management with advice on the prevention of accidents,incidents, and ill health.
* Assist the Head of HSWand other members of the HSW team, in key tasks to assist in thedevelopment, management, implementation and monitoring of the Health andSafety Management System.
* Undertake or assist Head of HSW and Contract Management in establishing, managing, and maintainingrelationships with external stakeholders such as local authorities, HSSEand others as required and directed.
* Assist the Head of HSWand other members of the HSW team, in key tasks to assist in thedevelopment, management, implementation and monitoring of the Health andSafety Management System.
* Provide advice,guidance and independence with regards to the assessment of andappointment of sub-contractors.
* Assist with andundertake HSW surveillance where required of operational sites.
* Preparation of H&S risk assessments and safesystems of work as and when required.
* Assist with themonitoring, analysis of and reporting of HSW performance.
* Assist or managethe investigation of accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, nearmisses and other incidents as directed.
* Promote best practice,capture best practice and ensure it is fed-back into the business andparent companies.
* Maintainown level of knowledge and competency in relations to HSW Management andresponsibilities including appropriate qualifications and professionalmembership.
