Maintenance Engineer - Taunton, Somerset
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus scheme
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday nights (training period on days)

Role & Responsibilities
* Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long‑term machine reliability.
* Execute the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer’s plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively.
* Use appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S.
* Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems.
* Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance.
* Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Formal Engineering Qualification – C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or Apprenticeship trained.
* Continuous improvement knowledge.
* Strong knowledge of good engineering standards.
* Experience in Engineering, manufacturing or production environments.
