The job itself
About the recipient
What do people like about me? What amazing things can I do?
People always say how polite and helpful I am. I always try my best and like to learn new skills to make me more confident. I'm a great big brother and always like to look out for little kids, even if they can be annoying sometimes. I love being a good role model.
What do I like?
I love playing football. I play for Barton Inclusive Under 16s and we are starting a new team at school too.
I love Dr Who and have seen all the episodes. I like to draw the tardis and the different sonic screwdrivers.
I like helping my dad with DIY and want to be a bricklayer when I’m older.
What do I dislike?
I don't like changes to routine or not knowing what is happening. I always need to know what is happening the next day and struggle if it changes. I don't like doing things I don't understand or going somewhere unfamiliar but with support and repetition I can soon build my confidence.
What do I enjoy doing?
I enjoy playing football and watching Man City on the TV.
I enjoy paddleboarding after a holiday in the Lake District where I really built my confidence.
I enjoy learning to cook so I can be independent in the future.
What do I need help with?
I need help with sensory things - I can't feel temperature so don't know if something is hot or cold. I can't feel pain and am not great with understanding danger so I need help to keep me safe.
I want to learn skills so I can be independent in the future but also still want to have fun.
