We’re looking for an experienced Contract Manager who is commercially focused and uses their initiative to drive results from the supply chain and leads on contract negotiations which drives the best value for money.
What will you be doing?
As our Contract Manager, you will:
* Own up to 4 complex supplier contracts (with an average lifecycle of 10years) that are critical for the running of the DCC network and meeting security standards, with a value of >£20m and ensuring that contractual governance routines are undertaken in accordance with the relevant provisions in the contracts/agreements
* Lead and negotiate on all contracts change and project requests, covering extensions of >£10m and delivery of 30 changes a year. Whilst following robust change and governance processes
* Lead on both contract negotiations and disputes during the whole contract lifecycle (each with values of >£10m). Ensuring we deliver the right outcomes for DCC and its customers
* Consistently identify, drive efficiencies and value for money in everything you do. Providing accurate detail and records at all times which need to be maintained to ensure compliance with the DCC licence
* Maintain all contract documentation in line with DCC material controls ensuring there is a full audit trail and all relevant obligations (up to 2000 per supplier contract) are logged, tracked and delivered in line with our contracts
* Ensure all risks for your contracts are logged, tracked and mitigations put in place where possible. Feed into relevant reporting in a timely manner
What are we looking for?
Technical
* Using operational reporting to hold to account the commercial performance obligations relating to SLA / KPIs, manage contract disputes, oversee contract amendment processes and lead contract closeout process
* Experience in driving and managing the compliance to contracts
* Experience of managing delivery of contracts in scope, identifying and managing contract related risks and issues, and implementing contract changes
* Solution driven, innovator, cost and value led
* Experience of supporting commercial stakeholders with market insights from knowledge gained from contracted suppliers
* Strong attention to details and proven ability to work in an open / auditable way fitting to a regulated environment
Interpersonal
* Strong written and verbal communication. Able to communicate effectively with junior and senior stakeholders
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Ability to influence stakeholders in a complex environment
