The Opportunity As an Emergency Preparedness Officer at Hinkley Point C, you’ll play an essential part in maintaining and improving emergency arrangements across the site. Reporting to the Emergency Preparedness Lead, you’ll help ensure plans, processes, facilities, and exercises are robust, practical, and ready when needed, supporting EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain. Alongside a competitive salary starting from £56,000 and potential for an annual bonus, this role is fully site based at HinkleyPointC in Bridgwater, Somerset. You’ll be working on site five days per week, collaborating closely with EDF colleagues, contractors, and external emergency responders in a highly operational environment. This is a role where autonomy, sound judgement, and attention to detail really matter. You’ll build strong relationships across the project, develop your experience within a major regulated construction environment, and contribute directly to protecting people, infrastructure, and operations on one of the UK’s most significant energy projects. Who You Are We’re looking for an Emergency Preparedness Officer who’s organised, confident working independently, and comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
